Dear HIS Community,
This week’s highlight was Super Saturday at HIS!
Student-Led Conferences took place in the PYP.
College Counseling sessions were held throughout the day with Ms Kamibeppu and Mr Washington.
Mr Tim’s Art Exhibit was beautifully showcased.
Spring Concert: Takako Sensei led an outstanding performance that left the audience in awe. We also shared well wishes with some of our Grade 12 Graduates at the end of the concert. Jundai (G12) gave a remarkable encore performance of Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence on piano.
A big thank you to the PTA Wolfpack for serving delicious ice cream treats as everyone gathered outside.
The Peace Riders will leave campus Monday morning for their adventure in the mountains of Yamaguchi. Mr Barker and Dr Skaer have been training our riders consistently since the start of the school year. Please wish the team good luck and safe travels. This will be a challenging ride with plenty of steep climbs!
The IB DP Exams are now complete. Congratulations to all Grade 12 students, Mr Smith (DP Coordinator), and all invigilators who supported our students throughout the exams.
Reminder: Monday is an HIS holiday.

Letters to the Editor from Tsukihiko and Claire (G11)
Claire and Tsukihiko wrote excellent letters to the Chugoku Shinbun editor as part of a Japanese class task. Their letters discussed strategies for dealing with SNS and smartphone usage. Congratulations on this achievement! (Junko Sensei)
Baby Bird Lands on Masayo Sensei!
Masayo Sensei once again showed her warmth and kindness when a baby bird landed on her during outdoor play. No birds were harmed, and the family was safely reunited in the end!
