Building Community, Connection, and School Spirit at HIS

The Hiroshima International School PTA is an active and welcoming group of parents and guardians who work in partnership with the school to support student learning and strengthen our community. The PTA plays an important role in bringing families together, celebrating our diversity, and enhancing the HIS experience for students across all grade levels.

What the PTA Does

The PTA organizes events and initiatives that enrich school life, including:

  • Community celebrations such as Halloween, Bonfire Night, Festive Eve, and International Day.

  • Parent coffees and social gatherings that help families connect and feel at home at HIS.

  • Volunteer support for school productions, concerts, and athletics events.

  • Fundraising activities that provide additional resources and experiences for students.

  • Welcoming new families and helping them settle into school and life in Hiroshima.
