What an amazing week we’ve had at school! 🎉

Our Art and Music Exhibition was a wonderful celebration of student creativity and talent. The performances were inspiring, and the artwork showcased the incredible skills our students have been developing. A huge thank you to everyone who came out to support!

International Month is in full swing, and the excitement is building each day. The classroom doors are beautifully decorated, reflecting the diverse countries each class is exploring. Be sure to ask your child about the country their class is representing—you’ll be amazed at what they’ve learned!

This week, classrooms across the school have been buzzing with meaningful learning. In mathematics, students have been investigating circles—measuring, identifying patterns, and considering their role in the world around us. Meanwhile, in literacy, students are refining their letter-writing skills, focusing on clarity, purpose, and audience to communicate effectively. These experiences reinforce essential skills while helping students make connections beyond the classroom.

Outside, the playground has been just as active, not only with games but with important social interactions. It is great to see students working together, including others in play, and forming new friendships. Learning how to navigate social situations, collaborate, and resolve conflicts are essential skills that contribute to a strong and supportive school community.

As we continue through the year, it is encouraging to see both academic and social growth happening side by side, creating a well-rounded learning environment for all.

Thank you for your continued support and enthusiasm. Have a great weekend!

Counselor’s Corner Update! 🌟

As we wrap up this month’s focus on Stress Management, it’s been wonderful to see students across the school exploring healthy ways to cope with everyday challenges. From five senses grounding and guided breathing in PYP to reframing thoughts, journaling, and engaging in meaningful activities in MYP, our students are building important tools to support their emotional well-being.

As we transition into next month’s SEL theme, we’ll be turning our attention to Self-Motivation—what it means to stay curious, set personal goals, and persevere through challenges. This is a great time to reflect with your child on what motivates them, what they’re passionate about, and how they can take ownership of their learning and personal growth.

Grade 8/9 Parents – You’re invited to our next Parent Coffee Morning on March 31st! I have already sent an email with the form but please sign up below if you have not done so already.
The theme will be: “Understanding the emotional and social world of Grade 8 & 9 students to support healthy development and learning.”

Thank you for your continued support, and let’s keep the SEL conversations going at home as we move into another meaningful month! 💛✨

PTA Wolfpack

Hello HIS Parents,

We are now only two weeks out from the International Festival! The school is already buzzing with hardworking volunteers. It’s also looking so festive with all of the wonderful doors decorated by the students.

We enjoyed getting to see everyone’s wonderful displays. Congratulations to Grades 5, 8, and 12 for their winning designs!

We are in desperate need of volunteers on the mornings of Friday, April 11 and Monday, April 14 to assist with loading and unloading both at the school and the receiving location. If you are available to help, please sign up through the link (see Toddle Crane) this weekend so that we can be sure we have enough help.

Thank you in advance!

Meal tickets and Raffle tickets are still available for preorder until the end of next week, Friday April 4. If you would like to preorder, this is the week!

Preorder tickets will be distributed on Monday, April 7. When preordering, please keep in mind that most food this year will cost 5-6 tickets.
