Continuing Gratitude Month:🙏

Activity for the week:

My Gratitude Walk

Here’s how to teach kids gratitude which involves taking a walk and consciously noticing and appreciating things around them. This activity is best completed using our My Gratitude Walk Worksheet, which engages their senses. Children ages 4 and up can participate with guidance from their parents and teachers.

Make sure they wear comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. To explain the purpose of the activity, you might want to say, “Today, we’re going on a Gratitude Walk. As we walk, let’s pay attention to things we see, hear, smell, and feel that make us happy or thankful.”

Gratitude Journal

Journaling provides an opportunity for children to reflect on their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. In this activity, they intentionally direct their attention to the goodness in their daily experiences. Kids as young as 6 years can start journaling, and prompts may be needed to structure their entries.

This can be done individually, as a family, or even as a class! We recommend setting a regular time for journaling, such as before bedtime or during quiet moments.

PTA Wolfpack

As I am writing this, the school is being transformed into a festive wonderland in preparation for the holidays 🎄☃️🎁🤶🎅. Thank you to all the volunteers who are helping to make the place look great and even contributed decorations of their own!

Starting on Monday, November 25, we will be accepting snack and candy 🍭 donations for this year’s Santa🎅 visit on December 13th. If you would like to participate, please bring your donation to the decorated red 🧰 box in the entryway. We were able to hand out such wonderful treats at Halloween 👻 and are looking forward to seeing what we will have for Christmas 🎄!

A reminder that Scholastic book 📚 orders are due this Monday, November 25. Please be sure to complete your order this weekend through the below link.

Looking ahead to December, we will be having our PTA snack🍿 shop on Tuesday, December 10. As this is a short and busy month of school, that will be the only day of snack shop. Please send money 💰 with your child if you would like them to participate. We will also be preparing the bags of donated snacks on December 10, so please come volunteer if you are able to help!

Have a great weekend and enjoy the fall weather 🍁!

Thank you,

PTA Wolfpack
