Wow, what a week! Our 5th graders had a blast on their UNICEF field trip 🚌! Meanwhile, our 6th graders are hard at work on their innovative design 🍥 prototypes. And our talented High Schoolers are creating stunning art 🎨pieces. As we gear up for Festive Eve 🎶 , everyone’s been practicing hard! Only 3 more weeks to go! A huge thank you 👏 to our PTA for the successful snack shop! And a special thanks to Chef Randi 👩🍳 for hosting our first community baking 🍪 class!

It’s not always easy to dive into personally meaningful conversations. That’s why conversation starters are such a great idea. Use the following: “Where is the place you feel happiest?”, “Who is a person that you are especially grateful for?”, or “What is one learning experience that you are grateful for?” Great dinner conversation.

Happy Friday!
We enjoyed seeing so many happy faces at the snack shop this week! Thank you to everyone who sent in money to support our shop and to the volunteers who helped us feed the students.
A huge thank you to all the volunteers who helped with the Bonfire Night! It was so wonderful to see the HIS community come together to work and celebrate. Mr. Barker and his wife Ms. Yumiko took the lead again this year on many parts of the night and we are so thankful for the great event they continue to support. This year’s bonfire was a lot of fun and we couldn’t have done it without you!
After a few very busy weeks, we have just a couple of things on our calendar this month. Scholastic book club orders are due by November 25, so help your child pick out their new favorite English language book!

It’s almost time to decorate the school for Christmas. Join us next Friday, November 22 to help make the school merry and bright. There will be a coffee morning to meet the new SEL counselor at 9am. Christmas🎄 decorating will begin when it is finished. (Probably around 10am)
