Dear HIS Community,

Parent Night was a resounding success! The HIS staff’s presentations were informative and engaging, and parents appreciated the opportunity to discuss their children’s progress with their teachers. We’re excited for a fantastic year ahead!

CIS has concluded their preparatory visit. The accreditation team was impressed by our community and its commitment to excellence. We extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed to the successful visit.

Toddle- please make sure everyone has connected with Toddle, the Crane will move to the Toddle platform next week. Here is the powerpoint on how to use Toddle. 

Good luck to our Volleyball Teams in the coming days as they prepare for a series of important games!

Be on the lookout for new drop off and pick up regulations in the coming weeks.

Welcome to the HIS Family Community Group!

To ensure our communication platform remains effective and respectful, please adhere to the following guidelines:

General Guidelines:
Purpose: This group is for positive and constructive sharing of information related to HIS activities, community events, and school reminders.
School Contact: For urgent school assistance, please contact the school directly.
Respectful Communication: Avoid discussing individual teachers, children, or parents.
No Discrimination: Degrading comments about race, religion, culture, gender, or identity will not be tolerated.

Acceptable Content:
HIS Activities: Announcements about parent clubs, social events, and school-wide activities.
School Reminders: Important notifications and updates from school staff.
Parent Feedback: Requests for input on grade-specific topics (not individual children) and HIS events.
Recommendations: Sharing of local resources and recommendations (e.g., doctors, events).

Prohibited Content:
Self-Promotion: Advertisements, spam, or irrelevant links.
Political Discussion: Avoid airing opinions on current affairs.
Personal Attacks: Any form of harassment or disrespectful language.

Group Management:
Group Administrators: All parents are made group administrators in grade groups.
Departing Families: Please remove yourselves from your child’s grade group when they leave HIS.
Reminders: Group administrators will periodically remind parents who are no longer part of HIS to leave the group.

We hope that everyone had a great week and enjoyed the Parent Information Night. At this time, we are very pleased to introduce you to this year’s PYP room parents!

A huge thank you to all room parent volunteers. We look forward to working with you this year!
Looking ahead at our events calendar, we have our Halloween Carnival on November 1st. We will be looking for volunteers to help run games in the gym, as well as parents to participate in the Trunk-or-Treat outside. We will start taking candy and snack donations (peanut free) at the end of September. Don’t forget to mark the date in your calendar as we look forward to a fun time together!
