Welcome from James Steward
Welcome back and Happy New Year!
We have had an excellent return to school and many events are about to occur.
Firstly, I would like to thank all families for their superb support this school year to date. We have shared many enjoyable experiences together. Looking back through the photos for this CRANE, I note the many positive memories from our Holiday Assembly where our students shone so brightly. It was a command performance of fun and joy.
Looking ahead, the DP Team are moving into their Mock Exams as they look ahead to Graduation 2024. We wish them good luck in the coming months. The Peace Riders’ training will intensify as they progress toward the big ride in May. Finally, good luck to our basketball team who play MC Perry Monday after school. Thank you to Ryoma (G12) for captaining and leading this team!
The PTA Wolfpack continues to stir up excitement and a full slate of events is about to come your way. The big one is the International Festival which will occur in April.
See you soon at HIS!

Toy Drive Success from Student Council
Dear HIS community,
We are delighted to announce the successful conclusion of the Holiday Toy Drive, made possible by everyone who contributed donations.
I had the privilege of delivering a car full of presents to the Misono Orphanage on Saturday afternoon before the break. Excitement filled the air as the kids observed us unloading the presents, expressing their enthusiasm with comments like, “I want this one!” and “Can I take this?”
The head of the orphanage also expressed sincere gratitude, surprised at the sight of the abundance of gifts, saying, “All these presents?! Are you sure these are all for us?”
Indeed, because of your generosity, we were able to present a remarkable number of gifts. We are sure that they will bring joy and warmth to the holiday season for the 33 orphans at the Misono Orphanage. Once again, a heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated and made this Toy Drive a resounding success.
