1. Principal’s Message
Dear HIS Families
We had a fun Sports Day today. Thank you very much to the families who could make it to the stadium to support. A quick reminder that we have Student Led Conferences coming up on May 15 and some further details will be available in next week’s Crane. Enjoy your weekend.
Kind regards
Damian Rentoule (Principal)

7. News from the PTA
- HIS Festival – Note of Thanks from the 100 yen shop
Many students and parents donated things to the 100 yen shop. There were so many items that we used two classrooms! It was so popular that some people lined up at the school gate before the Festival opened. A big thanks to everyone for your generous support.
- HIS Festival – Payment of costs
Several people paid for the Festival costs upfront, but as we are still calculating the income it will take a bit more time to pay you back. If you have already submitted your receipts, we will arrange payment to you before the Golden Week holidays.
- Kagura Tour (May 21, Sunday)
Information about a Kagura tour was sent home with students on Thursday. The PTA will arrange a bus (provided we can get the minimum number of passengers). Due to limited space at the Shrine, we can accommodate up to 50 people. Please hand in your booking slip to the HIS Office as early as possible as it will be on a First Come First Serve basis.
Next PTA Meeting (Wednesday 26 April, 10 – 12 at the Peace Café)
The next PTA meeting will be held on Wednesday 26 April from 10 to 12 at the Peace Café in Kami-Hachobori.
